I have a fondness for the Waymart Gravity Depot, the D & H Railroad and the Waymart Area Historical Society.
I grew up in Waymart and lived in the Waymart Hotel while our house was being built in 1962 when I was in 1st Grade. I remember the great smell of Hotel Pizza on Friday Nights, walks to School and some really great people like Mr. Box and Mr. Waters at the School.
I moved away to Pike County in 1969 graduated from Delaware Valley in 1975 and went off to play Navy for almost 20 years. Being home is GREAT and I jumped at the chance to participate in the 2007 Gravity Depot Dedication taking many pictures and making the Life Member Boards.
I also participated in the 2008 Dedication of Car 43. I got to make all the dedication Plaques and take pictures.
I have posted the pictures of both dedications on the Wal Mart Photo Web Site and encourage everyone to download or purchase the pictures as you like. The pictures are copyright free.
